A lighter weight contour when the barrel gets button rifled (Bartlein Barrels only does single point cut rifling) the stress being put into the blank is much greater. As you turn the contour smaller and smaller in size this can have a negative effect on the bore sizes changing and opening up. When this happens you cannot make the bore size smaller.

CZ 457 aftermarket barrels. I have 2 CZ 457 At-One's. A .22 LR and a .17HMR. Pretty happy with the .22's accuracy, not so much with the .17HMR. I get 1 & 1/2 to 2 inch groups with the .17 at 100 yards and 3/4 to 1 & 1/4 with the .22 at 100 yards.
